The Lodge is a new self-catering holiday cottage. It is built from wood and other natural materials and designed to be as eco-friendly as possible.
It has classic barn styling and architectural features found on farms and estates accross East Anglia. It is an energy efficient building with a low carbon footprint, allowing you to enjoy a conscience-free break.
It has 2 bedrooms, one double, one twin and a sofa bed in the open-plan living area and is ideal for a family of four but will sleep a maximum of 6 persons.
Two bikes are available with the cottage to reduce your footprint even more and it is also a very pleasant way to see the island and enjoy its pace of life, however it is also a great place to just come and relax and take in the sea air.

The Old Forge House in rural West Mersea offers a range of holiday accommodation.
The original part of the house was built in the 1600’s and it’s most famous occupant was W Heath-Robinson, the well-known cartoonist and illustrator of eccentric machines, who lived here from 1913 to 1920.
The Old Forge House offers a haven of peace and tranquility in a rural setting while still being only 5 minutes from the waterside activities and restaurants. Perfect for a relaxing break in the North Essex countryside!
